Is the Quebec Veterans Foundation a registered charity?
Yes, the Foundation is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Our registration number is 87108 4190 RR0001.
What is a veteran?
A veteran is someone who has completed basic training in the Armed Forces and has been honourably discharged.
Who is eligible for your programs?
Any veteran or their family members may be eligible, depending on the type of activity offered by our partners.
What does it cost to participate in your programs?
We provide financial support to our partners to cover participant costs. In some cases, you may be asked to pay a registration fee, which will be reimbursed.
How can I support the Foundation?
Donating to the Quebec Veterans Foundation is one of the most impactful ways to support Quebec veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life. Your contributions make a real difference for those who have served our country. Donations can be made by cheque or through our online donation form.
Why should I make a general or recurring donation?
General and recurring donations are among the most effective ways to support our mission. They provide ongoing support, ensuring veterans and their families receive the care they need year-round, especially in urgent situations.
What types of donations does the Foundation accept?
We accept spontaneous donations, recurring donations, memorial donations, event-related contributions, payroll deductions, and donations of vehicles or securities.
Can I designate my donation to a specific program?
Yes, you can choose to allocate your donation to a particular program.
Is my personal information shared with third parties?
No, your information is not shared. We do not store banking details. If you allow us to contact you, we will securely store your mailing address in our system.
How can I get a tax receipt if I didn’t receive one or misplaced it?

How do I unsubscribe from your newsletter or mailing list?
You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the newsletter or contact us directly, and we’ll make the change for you.
How can I apply for funding?
If you have ideas or projects to propose, visit the Funding Application section on our website to review the application process and deadlines.
What types of funding does the Foundation provide?
We fund programs that support veterans through retreats, support groups, training, peer support, and alternative therapies such as art therapy, forge therapy, and pet therapy. Personal expenses are not covered.
Are there still veterans at Ste. Anne’s Hospital?
Yes, veterans of all ages continue to receive care and services at the hospital. Some reside in long-term care.
What other projects is the Foundation involved in?
We collaborate with Ste. Anne’s Hospital, CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île, and other organizations to promote the well-being and commemoration of veterans and their families. The QVF is a founding member of the Veterans’ Fair and participates in the Tinnitus Research Project.
