Yoga Workshops for Women Veterans

Yoga and Art Workshop

Open to Creativity

Be prepared to have fun, be inspired & set your creativity free!

This workshop is for women veterans interested in the healing potential of Yoga and Art.

You will discover the power of your chakras using yoga, meditation, and creative work. Specific postures, breathwork, drawing, music, and deep relaxation, will balance your energetic centres (chakras) to help create a sense of well-being and connection in a space of freedom, non-judgement, and mutual support. This process will allow your intuition to unfold and guide you.

You will leave with your own unique life size body image of your chakras.

Everyone is welcome, including those new to Yoga and the arts.

Yoga and Mandala Workshop

Learn the Art of Creating Mandalas

Join us for this fun workshop of creativity & relaxation and learn the art of creating beautiful mandalas!

Our tools on this journey will include artwork, gentle yoga, and conscious breathing in the safe space of our classroom. No previous experience with yoga or art is required.

In this workshop, we will learn to

  • Release feelings of self-criticism and judgment,
  • Allow creativity to flow,
  • Learn how to manage our expectations,
  • Use yogic breathing to calm the nervous system, and practice simple yoga stretches and postures,
  • Feel the sheer joy of from creating

Return home with a beautiful Mandala connected to your unique energy.

What’s a mandala?

Mandala means “circle”, it’s an ancient symbol that represents the universe. The circular geometry signifies strength and unity, and the patterns, signify symmetry and consistency.

Mandalas hold special significance because they are designed to lead us closer to the center of our being, to the unwavering truth of who we really are. Like yoga, mandalas help us achieve union. No matter their form, mandalas offer us a profound way to examine our inner reality, to integrate that understanding with our physical selves, and to feel connected to the universe.

In this workshop, our mandalas and yoga will activate pathways to the mind and body. Through them we will establish and regain a sense of balance, identity, to help us integrate present-day experiences and unfold future direction for growth.
